Resolutions

It’s January and that means it is time to make a new years resolution. Well this year I am on strike. I will make no resolutions, no new goals or plans for this year. Every year prior to this one I have made my list like all the other hopeful people in the world. So what stopped me? I believe that it is important to set goals; but are most New Years resolutions reasonable goals or unrealistic fantasies? I have decided that making a new years resolution is a set up for failure. Most of us will say that we want to lose weight, (it really must be the number one resolution…..don’t you think?) Some will decide they will be more punctual and others will decide to make changes in the bad habits that they want to be rid of.

This year I am not going to make a resolution but….this year I will resolve! The American Heritage Dictionary says that to resolve is “Firmness in purpose, unwavering.”
This year I am not going to head into the New Year on a negative note. I am going to resolve that I Kamagra 100mg will be unwavering in what I know to be true. Recently someone shared with me the Five Belief Statements Beth Moore shares in her book “Praying the Word.” This year this is what I will resolve:

I will believe God is who He says He is.
I will believe God can do what He says He can do.
I will believe I am who God says I am.
I will believe I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.
I will believe God’s word is alive and active in me.

Why not start the New Year on a positive note and resolve to be unwavering in the things that you know that are true? Philippians 4:8 tells us “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent, or praise worthy, think about such things.”

I have an idea that if we really resolved ourselves to be unwavering in these five beliefs that changes would come on their own and that we would experience a whole new level in our walk with the Lord! Think about it!!
